DVDs and Returns
How much does it cost to rent a DVD? How long is the rental period?|
DVD rentals costs only $2 for a 2 evening rental.
Movies returned late will be assigned a $1/day late fee for the first 13 days. After that point, the movie will be marked "Unreturned" and you may be charged the full retail value of the movie.

How do I return the DVD rentals?
You can simply return the DVD to our delivery staff as part of your next order.
Check off which movies you would like to return during checkout
and our delivery person will pick up the rental free of charge.
Alternatively, you can arrange for one of our delivery people make a dedicated trip to pickup
the DVD(s) from you during any one-hour timeslot.
A $2.95 pickup fee will be added to your account.
Simply go your account section
and you can see all of the movie rentals that are currently outstanding.
Click on Arrange Pickup next to the movie and you can select which movies
you want us to pick up and when you would like us to come.
How do I know if you received my DVDs back on time?
When the movies that you have returned have been received by MaxDelivery, you will receive an email detailing the titles that have been returned and processed. Additionally, you can check your outstanding rentals by logging into your account.
How do I arrange to have you pick up my movies?
If you wish, we can come out to get your movies directly from you. A $2.95 pickup fee will be added to your account. Simply go your account section and you can see all of the movie rentals that are currently outstanding. Click on Arrange Pickup next to the movie and you can select which movies you want us to pick up and when you would like us to come.
Can I give my DVD rentals to your delivery person when he delivers my other order?
Yes. Just check off the items that you will be returning from the list during checkout or put "Returning DVD rental" in the special instructions box during checkout and our delivery person will pick up the rental free of charge.
What should I do if I lose or damage a DVD?
If you lose or damage a DVD, please let us know. The maximum you will be charged for any lost or damaged DVD is the price of a new copy of the DVD. All charges for any loss or damage to any movie will be placed on your credit card.
I returned my movie, but you do not show it as returned yet. What should I do?
It often takes 1-3 days for movies to make it back to us through the post office, so if you have returned it within the past few days, please wait to see if we get the movie back that day. If it has been more than 3 days since you mailed it, please contact our staff and we can provisionally credit your account for the missing item(s).
What should I do if the DVD could not play or was damaged?
We take every precaution to assure the DVDs you rent are in excellent condition. We examine each DVD before it goes out the door, and then again when it is returned. However, just as with all forms of media, DVDs sometimes experience problems.
DVD players themselves can be the cause of a small pause in a movie. If the DVD pauses for a second or two during play, but no dialogue or scenes are skipped over, then the DVD itself is likely not damaged. If this is the case, simply continue playing the DVD. There is no need to take any action.
The most common thing that happens to the DVD itself is a minor scratch on the playing surface. Small scratches can cause minor skips or pauses in the movie. If your movie experiences small skips or pauses, you can often repair the DVD with a few simple steps:
First stop the movie. Hit the "menu" button on the DVD player or the remote. Then go to "scene selection". Select the scene that had the problem. If this does not fix the problem, try skipping ahead to the next scene, then rewinding slowly until you reach the problem area.

If this does not solve the problem, or if the DVD is more seriously damaged or completely unplayable, please Contact Us. We will either replace your movie with the same movie or send you another movie free.
- Find a soft cloth such as a lens cleaner or a tissue.
- Hold the DVD by the rim, with the playable side facing you.
- Rub the cloth on the playing surface of the DVD by making firm strokes from the center hole to the outer edges of the disc. Be sure to wipe in straight lines from the center out. Never wipe the DVD in a circular motion. Continue wiping the DVD from the center hole to the edges until you cover the entire surface of the disc.
- Insert the DVD into your player and see if the problem has been solved.
