| How will my order be updated to reflect the csa farm share? |
|
After the boxes arrive from the farm, a free product called CSA Farm Box will be added to your shopping cart. Simply log on after that point and place an order and the farm box will be delivered with the order.

| Can they take the farm share out of box and leave it there since it is recyclable and just deliver in a bag? |
|
Unfortunately, no. We get the sealed boxes from the farm and transport them without re-packing.

| I logged on after getting the email, but don't see the CSA Farm Box. What do i do? |
|
If you don't see the items, let us know via live chat or email. In all likelihood, you simply had a different email address on file with the farm than with Max Delivery. Our trained staff can fix that in a few moments and get you your products.

| Can I pre-schedule my farm deliveries? |
|
You need to wait until the boxes arrive from the farm (so we can be sure we have your products). After that, you can schedule immediate delivery or pre-schedule up to 22 hours in advance - whatever is most convenient for you.

| Is there a surcharge for delivering the boxes? |
No. If you want your boxes delivered, simply place an order with Max Delivery after the boxes arrive. We'll bring your veggies with the order for no additional charge.
We've also arranged free delivery for CSA members for the length of the program.

| What happens if i don't pick up/deliver my box? |
You must pick up or arrange delivery of your box within 24 hours of arrival of the produce.
If you cannot collect your share, we encourage you to have a friend, neighbor or family member pick up the box (or deliver it to them directly) for a 'share the taste' gesture. Who doesn't want to sample tasty, healthy, organic produce?
Boxes that are unclaimed after 24 hours will be donated to charity.

| Can you notify me when the boxes arrive? |
|
Yes. If you are registered with our newsletter, we can email you when the boxes arrive. In addition, the farm usually announces their deliveries via Twitter.

| Where is your warehouse if I want to pick up the boxes myself? |

Come into the store and alert the staff that you are picking up your CSA shares. They will retrieve it for you.

| What is the program for schools? |
|
By participating in the CSA, you will be at the forefront of our FARM TO SCHOOL initiative that supports Spruce Street School's mission of Community Based Learning. A percentage of the total proceeds from CSA FOR WELLNESS shares will directly go to supplying our cafeteria with fresh produce from Bare Foot Organics and teach our children about the importance of growing our food, raising our food, and eating our food in a way that is healthy and sustainable. Our students will have a first hand relationship with Farmer Phil from Greystone Farm and participate in related food literacy programs.

| How do I sign up for the program? |
You must go to the farm and sign up with them directly. You can download their signup form/contract at this site.
When signing up, please make sure to choose the CSA for Wellness - Spruce Street School Membership Contract.
Also, if you plan to use the Max Delivery option to have your produce delivered, please make sure to register with the same email address that is on your Max Delivery account

| How long does the program last? |
|
The length of the season is 21-weeks, beginning in early June and continuing through late October.
|
| How much does it cost? |
|
FULL SHARE: $865
appx. $41 a week, includes 6-7 servings of certified organic vegetables and 1 serving of fruit, enough for 2 adults and 2 children.
MEDIUM SHARE: $715
appx. $34 a week, fruits and veggies, enough for 2 adults, or 1 adult and 2 children.

| I pay the farm directly? Do I have to pay you directly? |
You do not pay Max Delivery anything for the program. You must contract directly with the farm.
Max Delivery does not add any surcharges for the program. Picking up the boxes is free. Or, having them delivered with a valid Max Delivery order is also free. Normal ordering terms and conditions apply.

| What is CSA |
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is the beginning of our food revolution. It's a give and take between the farmer and the consumer that's strengthened when consumers know the farmer who grows their food and understand the costs of supporting the farm. When the consumer also shares in the variability of the harvest; less when it's bad, the bounties when it's particularly fruitful, it fosters the understanding of how we are all connected.
